FAQs

Are installation services available?

Installation services are available for commercial playground projects. A qualified and insured professional can be arranged to handle the setup, and quotes are provided upon request. The goal is to ensure a smooth, safe, and efficient installation process from start to finish.

How is the estimated lead time calculated?

Estimated lead time refers to the amount of time it typically takes for a product to be prepared and shipped after an order is placed. For many commercial playground items, manufacturing begins only once the order is received. For example, if the lead time is listed as 8 to 10 weeks, that means it will take approximately8 to 10 weeks for the product to be manufactured, packaged, and shipped from the warehouse.

What do I need to know about delivery requirements?

Depending on the items ordered, you may need appropriate equipment to unload your delivery—especially for large or heavy playground components. Commercial customers typically have a few days to inspect and inventory the shipment. Please be prepared to check your delivery promptly upon arrival. Note any missing items or visible damage directly on the delivery slip. For complete details, please refer to our Shipping Policy.

How is delivery scheduling handled?

The freight carrier will contact the phone number provided with your order to arrange a delivery appointment. Deliveries are made on weekdays during standard business hours. Within those parameters, the carrier will work with you to find a suitable time. To avoid waiting around, you can request a call from the driver approximately 30 minutes before arrival when scheduling your delivery.

Commercial Playground Surfacing & Safety Surface Options

Create a safer, more functional outdoor play environment with commercial playground surfacing from Level Up Playgrounds. Our collection features a variety of playground safety surfacing materials designed for daycare centers, preschools, elementary schools, churches, parks, and community recreation facilities.

Whether you're installing a new playground, replacing existing surfacing, or upgrading an outdoor play area, choosing the right surface is an important part of playground planning. Level Up Playgrounds offers multiple surfacing solutions to accommodate different project needs, maintenance preferences, accessibility goals, and budgets.

Explore Commercial Playground Surfacing Options

Every playground has unique requirements. Our selection includes a variety of loose-fill and unitary surfacing solutions for commercial outdoor play environments.

  • Engineered Wood Fiber (EWF): A cost-effective, natural-looking playground surfacing option commonly used in schools, parks, and childcare facilities. Proper installation, drainage, and ongoing maintenance are important for performance.

  • Rubber Playground Mulch: A loose-fill surfacing option made from recycled rubber that provides an alternative to traditional wood-based materials. Appropriate depth and maintenance depend on the product and installation requirements.

  • Rubber Playground Tiles: Interlocking or modular rubber surfacing options that provide a defined play surface and can support accessible playground designs when properly specified and installed.

  • Poured-in-Place Rubber Surfacing: A seamless, customizable rubber surface commonly selected for playgrounds where accessibility, appearance, and long-term surface planning are priorities.

  • Bonded Rubber Surfacing: A unitary surfacing system that combines rubber materials with a binder to create a continuous playground surface.

  • Synthetic Playground Turf: An alternative surfacing option that offers the appearance of grass with a designed underlayment system for applicable playground installations.

  • Playground Surfacing Accessories: Borders, ramps, wear mats, and other components that help complete and maintain a playground surfacing system.

Choosing the Right Playground Safety Surface

Selecting commercial playground surfacing involves more than comparing materials. Important considerations include:

  • Equipment fall heights and required impact attenuation

  • Applicable playground safety standards

  • Accessibility and accessible routes

  • Initial installation costs and long-term maintenance

  • Drainage and site preparation

  • Climate, usage levels, and durability

  • Available space and project budget

Different surfacing systems offer different advantages, and no single option is ideal for every playground. The appropriate material, installation depth, and system design depend on the equipment and site requirements.
